The Town Center is the region's commercial center of gravity — open-air shopping, a genuinely good restaurant list, and a cluster of hotels that absorbs most of Jacksonville's business travel.
Two kinds of work here. The first is corporate: guests staying at the surrounding hotels who need reliable morning transfers and evening collections. The second is retail and dining — clients who want to be dropped at the entrance, shop or eat without carrying anything to a distant car, and be collected at the door. The Town Center's surface parking looks generous until a Saturday in December, at which point being driven stops being a luxury and starts being the obvious choice.
