Downtown is fifteen quiet minutes from the airport and the shortest transfer we run. It is also where our corporate work concentrates — law firms, banking, the health systems, and every visiting client who needs collecting from a riverfront hotel at seven in the morning.
Downtown driving is defined by two things: the bridges and the event calendar. On an ordinary weekday the Acosta and Main Street crossings move fine. On a Jaguars home Sunday or a concert night at the arena, the Sports Complex approaches lock up and the usual route is the wrong one. We plan around the schedule rather than discovering it at the on-ramp, and we stage pickups on the side of the venue that will actually be moving when you walk out.
Worth knowing
For events at the stadium or arena we agree a post-event pickup point in advance — it is the difference between leaving in five minutes and leaving in forty.
