St. Johns County

St. Augustine & Vilano Beach

The oldest city in the country — and the worst place to park in it.

St. Augustine is genuinely beautiful and genuinely impossible to drive in. The historic district was laid out for horses, the streets are one-way and largely pedestrian, and the parking garage fills by mid-morning on any decent weekend.

Which is exactly why being driven here makes more sense than anywhere else we serve. We drop at the edge of the historic district and collect from the same point, so the day is spent walking St. George Street rather than circling for a space. Weddings are a large share of the work — the venues here are among the most photographed in Florida, and the timing has to be right. Add the winter Nights of Lights season, when the town fills every evening for weeks, and scheduled transportation stops being optional.

Worth knowing

Wedding transportation is planned against your run sheet — venue access here is tight and timing is not something to improvise.
